Yes, you read it right – 5oo million members. Facebook is expected to announce this week that they’ve hit the 500 million users milestone which was projected earlier in the year for 2010.

The company has launched “Facebook Stories,” a “visual memorial” to the ways that the site has changed people’s lives for the better. You can now submit your story here at Facebook Stories. Each story will be limited to the same number of characters a Facebook status caps out at: 420.
